You can change your bill date in two ways:
Option 1
- Visit BOX SETTINGS in your account page, and select “Change Bill Date”
- Use the calendar to select your new bill date
- Once you select a date, you’ll be able to see an estimated delivery window
- Click “Save” to confirm your updated bill date
Option 2
- Visit NEXT BOX in your account page, and select “Update” next to “Bill date”
- Use the calendar to select your new bill date
- Once you select a date, you’ll be able to see an estimated delivery window
- Click “Save” to confirm your updated bill date
More on bill dates
For recurring orders, the date that you first purchased a box will be your bill date. For example, if you bought a ButcherBox on the 1st of the month, your order will automatically be billed on the 1st of the next month and will arrive within the 8-day delivery window.
The date your order is processed is the same each month unless you change it. If there are only 28 days in the month, and your regular bill date is on the 29th-31st, you'll be billed on the 28th. For orders that recur every 2 months, you’ll be billed on the same date on the corresponding delivery month.
Changes to box frequency
Please note that changes to your box frequency go into effect only after your next scheduled order. If you want the change to be effective immediately, please make sure to change both your box frequency and your upcoming bill date.
For example, let's say today is the 7th. Your next order is billed on the 9th. You change your delivery frequency to every 2 months. If you don't want to receive the ButcherBox order billed on the 9th, then you’ll need to change that bill date to the following month.
Keep in mind
Several days before your order is billed, we send you a series of reminder emails so that you have enough time to make changes to, delay, or stop your order. Once you’ve been billed, the order is automatically processed for shipping, and we can no longer make changes.
